Itinerary

Welcome to Victoria Falls. The Mosi-oa-Tunya whose roar of thundering water can be heard to distant places 40 km away. At 1 700 metres wide and 100 metres high Victoria Falls is the largest curtain of waterfalls in the World. You have today a day to tour the waterfalls. Usually 2-3 hours should be enough to explore the length from the Zimbabwe side and the Forest it supports.

The Sunset cruise

Later in the afternoon you take the cruise boat on the upper Zambezi river as you easy the day with an epic sunset game viewing from the boat. The Zambezi river forms the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia all the way from the confluence with the Chobe river in Kasane Botswana to lower Zambezi below the Kariba Dam. Thats close to 2000 km in length.

Chobe Safari

The Chobe national park in Kasane Botswana is just 80 km away from Victoria Falls. Chobe is Botswana’s premier safari national park for safari. Situated on the periphery of the Okavango Delta, that is home to thousands of wildlife. It has approximately 205 000 elephants which is half of the elephant population in Africa. As such you are assured to see good herds of elephants.

The Chobe river on the other hand runs across the national park supporting a good number of species of antelopes, cats as well as grazers like hippos. You first have your game drive on 4×4 vehicles exploring the national park on land. Later in the afternoon you take a boat cruise to view game from the boat. After sunset you make your way back to Victoria Falls.

Starting off in the morning you take either a half day rafting or Full-day rafting excursion down the rapids of the waterfalls with experienced guides. If you prefer a combo of bridge activities to include Abseiling, Zipline, Gorge swing or Helicopter flights or even microflights ; the choice is yours and the combinations of fun and adventure here are enough for everyone.

Livingstone is a stone throw away from Victoria Falls to expand your choice of activities and everything booked and done on this one-stop shop.

Devil's Pool
The natural Pool

Today you go on a half day Tour of Livingstone Town and experience the a taste of East African life. Livingstone is Zambia’s Tourism capital with a diverse of life that will fascinate most visitors. The humbleness of the people and the happiness and welcome they have is amazing.

This is site from where David Livingstone first viewed the waterfalls from having been canoed to the island by locals. In his own words, “This is the view of Angels on flight” explaining the magnificence of the Victoria Falls.

Hwange national park is the biggest national park in Zimbabwe and home to over 450 species of birds and 100 species of mammals including the 19 big mammals including elephants, buffaloes, lions and the rare painted dogs, an already endangered species. It is 14 651 ha and has dams and waterholes that attracts wildlife. The elevated lookouts allows you to view game from concealed places thus avoiding to disrupt them.

The fertile soil is blown from the Kalahari desert that supports good grazing grounds here. The Kalahari dense woodland is dominated by the Zambezi Teak and  sand camwood. The North of the park is dominated by the mopane (butterfly) woodland.

You have 2 days to explore the fullest of Hwange national park . You’ll have one night here on a lodge in the quietness of the African Bush.

A visit to one of the schools in the countryside is set to give an insight on the education of African Youths and how they already relate to the outside World.
