Make your way inland to “the river that never finds the sea” where you will find your way through the blue-green wilderness of the Okavango Delta. Finish your journey with an adrenalin fix as you peer over the sheer edge of the thundering waters of Victoria Falls. Go wild! Leap off bridges, boogie board headfirst down the rampant rapids of the Zambezi and experience the grandeur of raging Victoria Falls from up high in your micro-light aircraft. Then, cool off with a tranquil cruise along the upper Zambezi River as you watch the African bush go by.

Itinerary
The trip starts in Windhoek the capital city of Namibia. The city Tour is on schedule today and takes about 3-hours. The rest of the day will be left for you to explore the town and basic shopping for your necessities for the Tour.
Optional Activity:
Dinner at Joe’s Beer.
Ghanzi
You leave Namibia today through the Gobabis Town as you make your way into Botswana. You have a lunch stop along the way and border process as you enter Botswana but al being well you should arrive in Ghanzi late afternoon. The activity today is a bushwalk with the Khoisan as they take you through their culture and history.

Maun
300 km from Ghanzi is a Tourist Town of Maun which serves as the gateway to the Okavango Delta Delta

The Okavango Delta is the biggest inland Delta in Africa. The Kavango river, whose source is in the highlands of Angola brings in 11 million cubic litres of water annually and all that water vanishes through evaporation or transpiration.
It is studded with exotic islands renowned for a variety of species of birds and animals.
This afternoon you have a chance to prepare your backpack into the Delta for 2 days.

Maun Sedia Hotel
You are transferred on 4×4 vehicles to the Delta. You meet Polers at the Poler-station who will take you on the “mokoro”, wooden canoe. The mokoro will navigate the channels of the Delta to your campsite on one of many islands in the Delta. These are traditional mode of transport used by locals here who stay in the Delta.
As you are poled through you will see a few traditional villages, wildlife like hippos, elephants, giraffes and lots of birds. After a couple of hours along the waterways you will arrive at mobile tented camp situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta.
A brief introduction to the campsite on safety and use of bucket showers and long drop toilet.

On the second day after breakfast , you use the same way back to the poler’s station for your 4×4 vehicles back to Maun. The afternoon is set aside for relaxing in Maun.

Scenic flights over the Delta

You leave Maun behind as you head north-east to Nata through the Xai-Xai national park. Patches of salt pans will be visible as you drive through. Your campsite at Elephant Sands is the elephant paradise. Sit back and relax as you observe the behavior of the biggest land mammal jostling at the waterhole.
Further north the next day you travel to Kasane where your campsite is at the banks of the Chobe river . The Chobe meets the Zambezi river at this region forming the border of four countries Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Enjoy the river action of birds or wildlife on the river or take sometime to do a bit of shopping in Kasane.
Today you leave for your Overnight Chobe excursion. It’s an overnight experience in the wilds of the Chobe National Park. Chobe is one of Botswana’s premier game parks, renowned for its large herds of elephants. The afternoon you will be on game-drive while you head to campsite.

In the morning you head out of the national park on a game drive in the Chobe national park. In Kasane we pack our bags for Zimbabwe just 10km away. The formal border crossing here may take an hour or more depending on the day.
Victoria Falls town is situated on the Zambezi River surrounded by the Zambezi national park. Your campsite will be short walk to the waterfalls. At 1 700 metres wide and 100 metres deep , this is the largest sheet of falling water in the world.
