Nothing compares to observing and experiencing the impressive Victoria Falls from the air. As Dr David Livingstone eloquently jotted down in his diary in 1855: ‘scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in flight’. A mile wide (1708 metres), the Victoria Falls are the world’s largest curtain of falling water.

The 12/13 minute helicopter flights (US$150 Zimbabwe/US$189 Zambia) with window seats for all provide an outstanding photographic opportunity to capture the full breadth of Victoria Falls, the islands and neighboring rain-forests.  It’s amazing to witness how spray blasts out of the chasm as the full volume of the Zambezi crashes down 108 metres.

The 25-minute game flights ($284 Zimbabwe/$360 Zambia) continue down to the Batoka Gorge and offer an opportunity to spot wildlife from the sky as well as take in the beautiful scenery of the Batoka Gorge. You’ll witness the wildlife areas of the Zambezi National Park (Zimbabwe) or the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park (Zambia).  

It is only from the air that you can truly appreciate this phenomenal sight of a 1700 metres curtain of water. The flight also captures the Batoka Gorge before heading back to the Helipad.
