Devil's Pool Zambia Livingstone

Devil’s Pool Zambia Livingstone: Victoria Falls known as ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’, the smoke that thunders is one of  the natural wonders of the world. The first European to have visited the Victoria Falls is David Livingstone who got a glimpse of the waterfalls from this Island having been canoed across by the local people.

On the Island you will be given a Tour of the Livingstone Island to understand the significance of the Island and Victoria Falls before and now.

Devil’s Pool

This is a natural pool just on the edge of the waterfalls. It’s the thriller of the deafening sound of the waterfalls as you try to keep balance of the water current as it approaches the gorge that goes to a depth of 100 metres. The swim on the other hand is completely safe with the help of experienced Guides.

The swim on the Devil’s Pool takes place during the drier months from mid August to end of January. From February the water level of the Zambezi rive will be too high but then there is an option…another natural pool still on the Island called ‘the Swim of Angels’.

My cousin’s son loved the white water rafting. Thank you for giving them a true adventure experience of Zambia 🇿🇲!
